I did research but nothing came up. I read that one of the questions when applying for your SSN was if you've recieved food stamps. If yes will that get you a denial of SSN?

When I had my son my pubic bones split apart by ~2 inches. I couldnt walk properly for 5-8 months and my husband worked part time to care for us and we applied for food stamps. He used his SSN hes a citizen but all the paperwork was under my name and even the card was on my name. We stopped getting help a log time ago and we never renewed it or asked for it again. Will that look bad on me? Will that deny me a SSN?

I highly doubt they ask you that so they can deny you, i think they just ask you that because it might make it easier for them to process you if you have been in the system.

MY OPINION.

No. Untrue. Two are unrelated. It MIGHT be problematic if you apply for PR but if your getting married to a usc I doubt it..

Also sorry to keep posting but since your undocumented the food stamps weren't for you but for the child your name was just on it as a guardian since the child is under 18.

As long as you did not apply using a fake ss# or claim yourself a USC I think we are okay. My mom applied for food stamps too a couple of years ago, but due to immigration status my USC sister was the only benificiary. I was required to submit my signature and picture since my mom include my income in the application. My mom and I were the cardholders too. If SS staff asks me, I have to say yes, but I will clarify that I was not benificiary.

HSS and SSA are not connected. I've never even heard of ssa denying anyone because of public assistance...

State/federal health insurance does not count against you. Only public assistance where your getting cash.. CHPA/B does not count against you.
