ssn office in new york

has anyone that been approved ....has applied for a SSN in the state of new york ....and what documents did you give ??are they accepting deferred action applicants

Ssa requirements are the same across the board. Furthermore they have to accept your ead. When I got mibe a long time ago I brought my ead and current passport filled out the application was in an out within an hour. Went to the one in rego park un queens.

i have my birth certificate and my passport but it just expired can i take it with me or do i have to renew it?

I brought my valid passport and EAD. They didn't ask for a birth certificate. And I believe that if you are applying for your SSN for the first time, you MUST go to one of the card centers. I applied for my SSN on 10/15/2012 and got verified on the spot. I haven't received my physical card yet but I got a print out today.
