Oklahoma DL

today i just went to the SSA and applied for a SSN and everything went well should receive it in about a week. after i recive it my plan is to get a state ID wich shouldent be hard, and then a DL. i was looking at the dmv website in oklahoma and it says that if your 17 or older u dont have to take a drivers course. and as im 17 right now. but i just need clerification
heres the site i read it btw:

a dirvers course i beleive is a class you go to get prepared for the test not the actual test they give you when you go apply so it says here

"No appointment is necessary, but you will need an appointment when it comes time to take your road test"

16 and older don't need to complete a driving course.
