CA ID/DL: How Long it takes?

So I applied for my ID/DL at the DMV on Bellflower, Ca. After having trouble with my middle name, since it was too long to fit on my EAD card, and the DMV lady only accepted whatever is on the card, I opted to just apply with just my middle initial. Hopefully that won't cause any trouble when verifying it with the SSA. Anyways, I got my permit and Id receipt, which says that could take up to 60 days to get the ID. The picture lady told me when you apply with EAD could take up 30 days. Aghhh!! So frustrating. Btw, you can apply for ID as long as you have the number. They don't care for the card, since its not a form of identification. They don't care for a print out either. They are going to verify it with the SSA anyways. Please keep us updated on when you get your ID cards, I will too. Also does anyone know if they verify your SSN right when you apply? My receipt says SNN need, but then why would they give you a permit if they are not sure of your ssn?

I applied for my drivers license and I still haven't received it and it's going to be 30 days already so I'll see soon

I got my ID 10 calendar days after I applied.

Received my CA ID 11 days after I went to apply for it. Expires in 2018 by the way Now waiting on my DL to arrive. Yes, I believe they do verify your SSN on the spot when you apply.

anyway...

i got my INTERIM DRIVERS license on the 24th .. my sister got her plastic after 2 weeks, then her ID the very next day.. license was for 5 years just like anybody else!! and her id for 7


ALSO, they're taking a while to reproduce the cards because it is a NEW drivers license format and its got new features.. .. supposedly they were backed up and everybody is getting theirs late.

she did called BTW, so i suggest you people call the DMV and ask about it (call after 2 weeks!)
