So I tried to look up my credit score with my new SSN, but there is a problem.

I keep getting an invalid match. I've also had a background check done on me at work, but it also came back as a match not found. I've looked around online and some people say that if you have a new SSN, it might take a while for SS database to update. Is this true? I don't know how credible that information is though. Any one have any insight?

"Wait a month or two and request a free copy of your credit report through AnnualCreditReport.com from each credit bureau. Verify that your credit history has been transferred by each credit bureau. If it has not, call the credit bureau in question to sort out the problem."

I did a credit check and I got Not Found/No Record from all three Bureaus. USCIS Self Check also failed.
I then did one again two days ago and I am finally in the system in 1/3 bureaus, Experian, for an AMEX card.

I have not tried doing any BG checks tho. I don't know if the SSN might fail or not.

Give it some time. Be patient(i know the excitement is on) credit agencies report on certain periods of the year. It dosent wrk from one day to the other. Another thing too is if u start applying like crazy for credit it can be bad for you bc ur points will go down.so only if its a must then apply for credit. Btw I have 1 american express card.

How long from the issuance of your number until you started to show up in the searches?

I was going to wait until next month to try to do the credit check, but I gave it a go two days ago.
I got my SSN on 10-5, but I didn't get the AMEX card until 10-9, so maybe 17 days.

But that was only for Experian.
TransUnion shows No Record
Equifax won't even show me anything because they want to verify my Identity. SO I have to mail my DL and SSN card.

That's exactly what happened to me. Experian is the only one that recognized me. I don't care so much about the credit score, but the background check might screw me. I got an email saying that either my SSN is invalid or it was issued after June 2011.

Apparently the BG check through LexisNexis takes a few weeks to maybe a month to get the SSN on file and will Fail.
Either your employer disregards the Failed msg/You send stuff to LexisNexis or they withdraw their offer. It sucks, but if they can't resolve the issue they're to ignorant to do anything else. E-Verify unfortunately would be your only savior, ironic as a few months this was the Boogey man.

You need to start credit before even finding a report. So even if you search again in 1 year, nothing will come up unless you applied for credit or opened a line of credit.
