Are you a Professional and/or a Degree holder applying for DACA?

I started this thread after reading and hearing about many DACA applicants who have the qualifications for a good job through advanced education but have not been able to contribute to the US workforce due to their undocumented status in the country.

Please specify if you have a higher ed degree and/or if you are a certified professional to encourage those who think that an advanced education is futile.

I am a licensed Registered Nurse currently taking classes for my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Hopefully, as soon as I am able to finish my bachelors, I will resume the last of my prerequisite courses for medical school. It has been very hard to continue my education as it is very expensive to go to school. My parents have supported me all of these years and they will get some rest after I am approved with the help of God. I was able to get licensed in CA because I have an SSN from a previous case which was denied.

I have a college associates degree. I'm currently studying Electrical Engineering and currently have a valid EMT license. I'm looking into becoming a full blown paramedic while I study.

I'm graduating with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering in a few weeks. Just in time to get a work permit o:

I have a BA in Business Admin Mgmt. Currently searching for a better job to start my career

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. I will start a graduate program in criminal justice administration next fall.

I own an online business since my undergrad years in college due to the fact I couldn't intern or work anywhere. I had a valid social but was not authorized to work... I did some work out of college and did my Masters'

Now because of DACA, I was able to get a very high paying position.

DACA is a stepping stone for all of us DREAMERS!

WOW!!!! Paramedics' jobs are awesome! I was looking into it too but it was too much action for me. Thanks for posting! My brother is currently studying to be an engineer as well so I know you must be pretty good at math... Best of wishes on your application and career path.
