Background Check

Hey everyone, I am doing an internship for my degree, and it requires a background check. I was wondering do they check our immigration status for the background check? I will be doing an internship for the county. Any answers will be appreciated

What do you mean an internship for the county? As in the government? I thought you had to be a citizen to be employed by the government....well I guess that's not what you're talking about.

background checks usually just how previous residencies and any crimes you've ever committed. not immigration status.

The only problem i could is them not seeing your SSN linked with your other info since its relatively new. Could be no problem since your DOB identifies you too. Will have to wait and see.
