Got my FL License. Valid for one year since the date you apply. The cost for DL is $48!! And you can only have either a DL or state ID; Can't have both.
Can you say WTF?!

Why is it only valid for 1 year? Shouldn't it be at least 2?

i guess it depends on which DMV you go to?

mine was two. kind of sucks for you guys. another daca was one too. and then pay another freaking $48 for another one next year. you have to be really lucky to get a 2 year one.

Get the state ID first. Then go back to get DL, when they ask for your state ID, you say you lost it. Can this work? lol But yeah, congrats OP! One full year!

Mine is also for one year and it was $54.

What?! They only gave it to me for one year from the date my EAD was received (it says 10/25/2012 on the card and my DL expires 10/24/2013...I applied for the DL on 10/31). I know it's a week, but still...bs.

FL needs to get it together...

its a temporary DL....all temp DLs are valid for one year only.

Ask anyone who is going through other immigration procedures, I thought everybody knew this. At least in FL.


If you got 2 years, i dont know how that is even possible.

Get it from diffrent state if you don't want to renew every year.
