Could we enlist if we can present our Employment Authorization Card to a recruiter? To prove legal presence to our state's BMV we can use it, why not to enlist?

Because we don't have a status in this country that makes us eligible to enlist in the military.

You need to have a green card to get in the military.

How come they can give deferred action for those who served in military? How can people serve in military without legal status?

Maybe people that used someone else's papers to join, like a younger brother, who knows.

What I do know is that you need to be a Permanent Resident or U.S. Citizen to join the military.
