Hey dreamer,

I graduate on Dec 2010 with a BBA in Supply Chain Management. In Jan 2011 I was able to intern with a small manufacturing company for abour 4 months. After that I was working low paying jobs because of E-verify. On Jan 2011 I started an Masters in Professional Accountancy. Truth be told, the only reason why I did it, is because I didn't want to be doing nothing. My heart was always in the manufacturing field.

Back in December 2010 I got offers from big companies such as P&H mining company, CAP and Bucyrus, but as you know I wasn't able to work. Now that DACA is giving me the chance to work anywhere, I am faced with this dilema of wether or not to re-apply to all the jobs I applied in 2010 and try to land a good job. TIred of being broke.

My problem is also that in my school there is NO night Masters program for accounting. So, if I decide to get a job full-time I would have to drop my Masters or change it. I really hope I get a good job, and if I have to change it I would to something like IT-management.

Any suggestions?

Can't really hep you with suggestions, but I have a B.S. in Operations Management -- a large portion of which focused on Supply Chain Management.

Are you looking to get into SCC? I only ask because you mentioned accounting. I lied as well, I do have a suggestion: if your heart is in manufacturing, get Six Sigma certified. Learn and live by six sigma practices and iso9000 as well.

Right out of school I decided ops wasn't for me as I found a new passion: finance. during my undergrad, the chair of the ops program at UMass suggested that I should look into finance as a possible future since I was really good at modeling and forecasting. I shrugged it off. Since then, I have focused 100% on finance and finance related subjects. I'm a financial analyst.

We share a laugh about it now.

Undergrad degrees are a dime a dozen. I'm going for my JD/MBA right now and, combined with my experience, it'll put me in a really good position to both advance my own business or land a job with a really good firm like a Goldman or a JP Morgan.

I would re-apply for the jobs to get more experience. I would advise you to not go into accounting if your heart is somewhere else. Masters in Accounting is useless.
