Today I got the chance to talk to my favorite boss, and told him that I need change my social security number with them. That whenever he had the 1040paper ready ill fill in my new number. He looked a little confused and asked if everything is ok, I smiled and said yes, that I just needed to update them. He then walked away. I honestly think he doesn't know what to do next.
Help? Do I just fill out the form 1040 or form W4 and give it to him? That's all we need to do, right?

What I did was I told my employer that I was going through an Identity Theft case that I've been fighting for months and they finally are going to grant me a new Social. My boss said She understood and all is good! Otherwise, if they give you any problems, just get a new Job

Should have gone with this sweetpea.

There's no other reason for why you would suddenly be given a new SSN and have to update it. They aren't given out like hotcakes.
