Back in 2004 I was charged with a traffic ticket for having an open alcohol container. I was never arrested at all, I just had a ticket for that and I paid a fine and my case was close. I want to apply for Deferred Action, I have everything I need to apply but that ticket for having an open container really worries me. Do I have a chance to be accepted?? Please help!! thanks in advance

How old were you? I think you're okay. Just include all the paper work. Do a criminal background check first which takes 2 weeks to complete. If you are clean, then don't even mentioned it.

I was older than 21 thats for sure, someone suggested I should go get a court disposition for that case, just to see what's on their system. Would that be good enough?

This should not be a problem. Its not like a SIGNIFICANT misdeameanor or anything. But don't do stuff like that again.

It was never my intention to do it, I didn't know that drink was in my car, a friend of mine had left it there. But i took responsibility for the charge since it was in my car
