Okay so I've been in this forum for several days now and I've just remembered the most important question for my case to ask. I don't know if anyone has asked this, so feel free to redirect me please.

As of June 15 when DACA was announced, I was 29, but turned 30 by the time USCIS started the process. I know I am eligible under the guidelines BUT I'm wondering if USCIS has explained what would happen in my case:

1. I know, for sure, that a renewal of the DACA in my case might just not happen becuase of the age restriction. Have they mentioned anything about this yet?

2. If I am approved, will my EAD be for the 2 years or will USCIS issue me less time of validity? I would be sure I'd be approved for the whole 2 years but that age factor is making me nervous, so I have to ask.

Anyone care to enlighten me?

You qualify! What are you waiting for? Find your evidence and send your application! You said it yourself you were 29 in June 15 2012... As long you were under 30 years old on June 15 2012 good luck to you!

I already applied, that's not the issue. I want to know what I'm going to get if I'm approved though. I'm iffy about those two things

I thought you could renew your EAD card/DACA as much as you want until age 100+ once you were approved until someone stops DACA..am I getting this wrong?

The fact that you were under 30 on June 15, 2012 is never going to change. You can renew until the end of time!

^ This.

If you are approved, you can keep renewing, even after turning 31.

You will be issued a 2 year EAD, just like everyone else.

Yeah we will be able to Renew it even after we turn 31... They only thing that will affect your DACA renewal is IUD or any criminal activity..

That's a relief... The person that helped me fill out my application told me that there's a strong possibility I would only be able to apply just this once without being able to renew. I wasn't too concerned because DACA is gonna allow me to work until my other case goes through but that case could take more than 2 years.

I'm thinking probably her info is from before USCIS set the definite rules on August.

I read something not too long ago about this in USCIS webpage. when the renewal comes you should be able to renew with out any problem. As long as you were younger than 31 before june 15, 2012.
EAD will be the normal 2 yrs.

**** Found it****

Renewing Deferred Action Under This Process
Individuals whose case is deferred under this process will not be placed into removal proceedings or removed from the United States for a period of two years, unless terminated. You may request consideration for a two-year extension of deferred action through a process to be detailed in the future. As long as you were under the age of 31 on June 15, 2012, you may request a renewal even after turning 31. Your request for an extension will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
