Has anyone that's been approved in AZ successfully gotten their status changed by a community college yet?

I'm referring to getting in-state tuition as opposed to the out-of-state we've had to pay up until now.

Is the process simple? I don't know where to start and I figured here would be the best place.

Thanks and sorry if this is a repeat thread.

I would imagine you would need to establish residency first which usually takes one year. And it starts counting when your status changes to lawful. Doesn't matter how years you've been living there. After that you probably will be asked to prove it and you'll have to show proof of it.

hey guys, I know somebody who just got approved today to get in-state. She spoke to some head-honcho administrator to talk about it, and the person really helped her out. The administrator took care of it in a matter of hours after she passed in whatever they needed from her )

You don't have to share if it makes you uncomfortable, but do you know at what college she got it?

NOT TRUE, unless you don't have a proof that you've been living here before this year, then yes, you need to wait. They gave her a list of documents she can show to prove 1 year of residency, which means it doesn't have to start post-DACA. You can get instate NOW, like she did, if you can proove that you've been living in AZ before this year.

I just wanted to update this for other az dreamers. I was able to get instate tuition at one of the major community colleges. I was already enrolled for a while so they didn't ask for proof that I've been in the state. If not, they need one year of proof.

All they needed was the daca approval letter, my ead, and my social. The process took about 20 minutes and they were really helpful.

I got my in-state approved at CGCC. Im trying to go to MCC and they say that Id have to re-do all the paperwork since apparently theyre kind of different colleges in a way.
Sigh. but yeah, most of the staff didnt know what to do at cgcc so it took at least 2 weeks for me to get approved.

To anyone out there, If i go to MCC, would the staff know our situation and would know what to do ?
im sick of going back and forth colleges cause they'll "get back with me" since they didnt know what requirements they need from me
