I went in for my biometrics appointment yesterday. However, after I was done filling out the worksheet, I gave it to the receptionist lady and showed her my passport. Being mexicano, I have two last names. She grabbed a red pen and added my maternal last name on the worksheet, even though I wrote only my paternal last name on it and all my letters from USCIS arrive under my paternal last name only. I asked her why she did it, and she said that's how it was on the passport so she needed to write it like that. My question is: will my EAD arrive with both my last names on it, even though I only put my paternal last name on my application?

I would guess your name on the EAD will have two last names. At my biometrics appointment I attempted to drop my maternal last name, but was told I could not since that was how my it appeared on my passport.

Some members on here have only used their paternal last name. However, USCIS has added the maternal last name. Others have been lucky. I guess it depends.

Same thing happened to me when I went in for my biometrics. However, on my application I believe my attorney did wrote both my names and last names. I would expect that on the EAD both names and last names will appear. Considering on anything i fill out I only write my first name and parental last name.

I did the same thing at biometrics, and she added my maternal name. My EAD showed up with both, and my state ID is the same. Oh well.

That happened to me too. I have not been approved but all my receipts also come in just with my paternal last name. I also only used my paternal last name on application and only used maternal for other names used.

I have an old EAD and old SSN and they only have my paternal last name. I have a very long paternal last name so will see.

Same happened to me. All my correspondence has only paternal last name and the lady added my full name on the others name used and my EAD came with only paternal last name and the receipts from dmv also only have paternal last name.
