I wanted to know whether in NY they use the same picture from your permit for ur drivers license or whether take a new picture? Your response is appreciated. Thanks

Yes my man, they use the same picture from your permit.

Just curious, did the both of you have to wait in order to apply for your ssn?

What about the non driving id and a drivers license do they use the same picture

I am wondering too... Ive been approved but waiting for that 10 day wait to apply... for SS...

You can always tell them that you lost the DL and they will take a new pic with a fee of $20 or so.

But you have to take a new photo after 2 years anyways so why bother

Update: just applied for an ss# w.o waiting the ten days and had no issues. I got my ead cad yesterday and i applied today. They said i should be getting the ss card in two weeks. Lady was very nice and friendly. Absolutely no issues.

So what did you nykers use for documentation for your driving permit?
