Thanks for this thread.

May she rest in peace; I wish her family love, peace, and spiritual strength.

The service was so sad . . . It was really painful to see her loved ones so hurt . . .

I'm just glad this is over. They kept interrupting regular programming and it was driving me nuts.

When she was confirmed dead I thought, poor Jenni. When they kept running a 24/7 Jenni marathon I was like Jesus, what Univision and Telemundo will do for ratings.

I feel you. One also notices the power of the media during these tragic events; people die everyday. But, the fact that the media gives it so much coverage makes you emotionally attached. I say this because I was not one of her fans even though I thought she had a beautiful voice. I felt bad for her on December 9th, but it was a feel-bad-then-move-on feeling. But, this feeling of sadness and emotional attachment got worse when the media just practically did 24/7 on the tragedy . . . One cannot help but feel tremendous pain when one sees Jenni's loved ones so hurt; Lupillo was just bawling . . . it's heartbreaking.

I absolutely agree with you. My parents tend to watch those channels and on all of them all I hear is about Jenni. I constantly say: My god, let the woman rest in peace. How tragic, and heartless.

RIP Jenni. I wasn't a fan of your music but still, you are in the minds and thoughts of thousands.

Yes, because we, as human beings, can relate to her struggles and triumphs. Moreover, she fought for our rights dudes.

True. I remember she went to Arizona to protest SB1070.

I'm not a fan either, I just felt bad cuz I was raised by a single mom....so my mom kinda relates to what she went through as a single mom.

I agree. It is always sad when people lose their lives to such random accidents. Really? How kind of her. RIP.
