Late post, but thought I might as well. Finally finished collecting all my evidence and I sent the packet Express Mail on 01/05/2013 from San Diego, CA. I got confirmation from the tracking number that it arrived on 01/07/2013 because it was sent over a weekend.

Can anyone tell me what to expect next from here on out? I'm excited but nervous since I've read cases taking anywhere from 2-5 months. Thanks!

expect for receipts and bio metrics appointment and no they won't conduct a physical examination they will just take you fingerprints and picture along with some written information from you.

The more you think about it the longer it takes.

You will receive two txt messages if you filled out the G-1145 form, than the two I-797C Receipt letter will follow. After that you will get your Biometrics letter appointment....

True that. Like waiting for something to heat in the microwave haha. Well I started Insanity so that will hopefully occupy me for the next 60+ days

You never know what will happen. You might end up waiting months, or you might be approved the day after you do your biometrics.

Just patiently wait for your mailman to deliver the goods. Make sure you sign up for email and/or text updates once you get your receipt numbers. The G-1145 only tells you when USCIS gets your application but no further updates. Do that so you can avoid checking your status everyday and getting yourself desperate.
