Hey guys!

I had called USCIS to get an extra copy of my approval notice because I never received it when I was approved back in November. Today, I finally received the notice after filing a Service request with Nebraska and in the letter I got confirming my request, it states the following:

Quote:
Please remember: By law, every person who is not a U.S. citizen and who is over the age of 14 must submit Form AR-11 AND notify this office of their change of address, within 10 days from when they move (persons in "A" or "G" nonimmigrant status are exempt from this requirement).
This is a question I had posted on the forum before because I'm going to move soon and now it's confirmed as to what we have to do to change our address in USCIS records.

Hopefully if you didn't know, now you know that you're supposed to notify USCIS if you move.

Hope this info helps someone.

I didn't know about this until just now. I just put in my change of address and found out the penalties. I moved because of a Job from SC to KY but my family still lives in SC at the address I had on file. I'm stressing out because of the penalties and am getting paranoid. I moved here back in March and now it's April

So all we have to file is the electronic form Form AR-11, Alien's Change of Address Card right?

I think as long as nothing majored happened in this month you moved you will be ok. It took me like 15 days to get it done cause I completely forgot i had to change it. Did it right now.

I want to delete this account and it's weird that there is no option to do so.

I know I need to submit a change of address form right? But what if I want to keep the same mailing address as before? as that is my mother's house and the mail at my boyfriends always gets mixed up? I swear he ways gets other people's mail and it makes me paranoid to have very important mail sent to that address. What should I do?

You don't have to change your address
