Commercial Drivers License

I went and asked if I qualified for a CDL.. Apparently not in Texas, rhey said that citizens of Mexico or Canada dont qualify for a CDL with a EAD. Has anyone else tried to get a CDL?

Even if you are from a country other then mexico you cant get one with ead TPS people from central. America got theirs cancelled, you have to be US citizen, PR, work visa holder w/i94 and not mexican or canadian

This kinda suck I just lost a great work opportunity as a truck driver.

What i do requires one of those, when i found out about it , i was like fuck.

I have many friends form El Salvador with TPS and they do qualify for a CDL; hell I even have some friends from Australia that come on a work visa for 6 months and they all get a CDL.

If the people in the dps are ignorant on the topic, then I do suggest that you go to a different dps. It's not something they should deny you from.
