Okay so i get home from work today, and theres a Letter from the selective service saying "This is your acknowledgement letter for your application to the SS, This is your new SS Card and SS #, Keep in a safe place" Letter had my social in it on the form as well as this new "number", has me completely confused..... Uhmm... I DIDNT SIGN UP FOR SS.
Was this some kind of Sick Joke or underlying complication by the Current Administration....

DID ANYONE ELSE GET THIS LETTER???

you're suppose to join it anyways regardless of approval or not, though I will say this.... It is most likely that your state signed you up when you went in for an ID or your DL.

Your state signed up for the SSS, I know USCIS only signs up people when you're a male between 18 - 25 getting your LPR.

My receipts has the following

"By submitting this application, I am consenting to registration with the Federal Selective Service System, If so required. If under 18 years of age, I understand that I will be registered when I attain 18 years of age as required by federal law"

" I am ineligible for voter registration"

I haven't called the SSS regarding my Social and I still haven't received anything SSS related in the mail(after my visit to the DMV). I have a previous SSS registration 2010.

It wasn't USCIS for the obvious reason that they don't have your SSN. Like others have mentioned, it was most likely the DMV.

You are supposed to sign up before turning 26 if I am not mistaken. If try to adjust your status in the future I think they check if you are have signed up. I think if you want to get fafsa once you have adjusted they will not give you financial aid until you have signed up.
