Well this is my first post on this forum and i really enjoy looking at applicants for the DACA who were approved.

So heres my situation. I came to the us in 2001 on a tourist visa i was 5 years old at the moment, time passed and i overstayed my visa. In march of 2012 my dad got deported i had no choice but to go with him because i had no one to support me(dumbest choice i ever made). When i left in march i was 17 years old i left 2nd semester of my 11th grade year. When i got back to my country i couldn't register in school because i barley know my native language. Its been 11 months and im still here, it pisses me off that if i only stayed for 5 more months i wouldv'e been eligible for DACA. Im trying to obtain an F-1 visa which would be hard considering the fact that i only have a 11th grade education, but i think i still got hope because there are some community colleges that don't require a high school diploma. But i am still happy to see that the dreamers finally made it. But thats just my luck.

I'm sorry for what you had to go through. Aside from the DACA stuff, I can only imagine the feelings that you must have gone through when your father was deported. Its stories like yours that really do break my heart. I wish that there was something that could be done for people in situation likes yours, especially by the time frame of your presence in the U.S. Good luck, friend!

^^I was thinking the same. It might be easier to get into Canada then petition to get into the US. I'm very sorry to hear. Maybe you should investigate finishing your ged from abroad.

Im trying to get an F-1 visa with a community college, some community colleges don't require a high school diploma but require english proficiency.
