My Name is Teresa Gomez-Lansidel. I have the privilage of coming from a Mexican background. I grew up in South Texas and moved to Florida when I was 12. My parents have always taught me to be proud of who I am and to treat others as I would except to be treated. I learned about the DREAM Act last year when I mentored a local high school girl. I'm an occupational therapist and Rehab Director. Neri is a beautiful and intellegent girl who has so much to give. She is such a gift to this world. She also, like many others deserves the oppostunity to share her gift with the world. Unfortunately, she too is an undocumented immigrant child. Currently I am working on my doctorate degree and the DREAM Act is sort of my pet project. I have gone to Washignton and spoken to politicians about Medicare reform and occupational therapy. I definately plan to attend the convention in Miami in 2007. At the moment I am working on a power point presentation on the DREAm Act that I will be presenting in my policy and procedures doctorate class. I really want to make more people aware of this policy. We need to come up with a protocol for campaining... Is there anything out there that I may not know about?
