I have been reading a lot of personal experiences here and it seems there is a large number of people who didn't know their illegal status. I am just perplexed about it and a bit besotted with the idea of parents not telling their kids about it. Did you parents even tell you to not talk about it or something?

I knew for a while since we would go to court a few times throughout several years. Were finnally denied sometime in high school we were given deportation orders, appealed the case and that was that. Just stopped going to court.

16. I had to be told eventually why I couldn't get a driver's license or a job.

I was 13 and I wanted to go on a trip to Mexico with my USC friends. My mom told I couldn't and explained why. I was so upset.

I'm a USC now, but I became a USC when I was 17. I learned that I was here illegally when my 8th grade class was preparing to go on a trip to Europe and my mom couldn't tell me why I wouldn't be able to go. Eventually, the truth came out, though.

i didn't know i was brought here to stay and live after our visas expired, but once i was here it only took me a few months to realize the situation i was in. i was 10 years old.

have you seen these kids on interviews about how they're here illegaly?

"i was 19 when i tried to apply for college, i couldn't !!! I HAD NO SOCIAL SECURITY #"

gtfo.

be it your friends who make fun of you, or you yourself who knows as soon as you turn 151/2 that you couldn't get a job legally.

you know what your situation is, unless you're some sheltered kid who doesn't know about life, then you know.

but don't say that out loud, the GOP might hear it.

I always knew. My parents didn't sugarcoat anything.

On other news, the word "shit" is okay to say on television. The word "republican" has been added to the curse words list.
