Okay, so it has come to my attention some users are making passive aggressive comments on this forum so I want to rant about same-sex marriage. I feel like same-sex marriage shouldn't be an issue at this point of time, in society and the government. It should have already been passed. The fact that closed minded bigots in our government and society want to out-law same-sex marriage because some book said it, and obviously the book is old as hell. So you want to preach Leviticus 18:22 and how it's abomination to lie with the same sex, but not preach Psalms 137:9? I feel like religion is a major barricade in society. They want to pick and choose parts of Bible for their benefits, but ignore that there are more sickening verses in the Bible (like buying off someone's daughter if you get caught raping her?).

People want to say to the LGBT community that we have no morals but, the Bible doesn't define morals, I'm sorry. I will admit, the bible has great uplifting stories, but get real. Women have to listen to the man all the time and you can rape woman all you want? Not exactly morality. I'm in no way attacking anyone's faith or religion, but I do have a problem with close-minded bigots and people that think that everyone has to be a certain way. Which brings me to the study of homosexuality.

"It's perversion" "it's not natural" "you're confused", etc, etc. First, liking someone comes from your brain, and your brain knows what it wants, no book or anyone should tell you otherwise. It's as natural as being heterosexual because it's nature. Nature is a complex thing, there are gay animals and humans everywhere. Your brain was formed a certain way to like what you like and that's it. There's no "conversion" therapy or anything to "fix" you. If you know you like women, then you like women. If you like men, then you like men, that's it.

A little science for you: heterosexual males' brains have the right side of their brain bigger than their left. Heterosexual females' have a symmetrical brain, meaning, two halves of their brains are the same size. Homosexual men resemble a heterosexual women brain, where-as homosexual women resemble a heterosexual male brain.

You're born with your sexuality and it's not gonna change.

People misinterpret bible for themselves, and to set limitations and boundaries for others. Most of these "so called" faithful believers can't practice the most fundamental moral in their religions. They preach love, but practice hate to those who can't fit in. They claimed to be the children of god and act on his will. But aren't them actually sugar-coated devils in the name of god? And so many of them think God will eventually forgive their evil acts of imposing despair, and open the gate of heaven for them on the ground of confessions. Is god blind from witnessing the pain of his loved ones?

Where does it leave to the rest of us? Where is the love?

I was raised Catholic and I see dishonest people fondle the words of god. They say they love and forgive, but they never have the power to accept different ideology beside their own. As I grow older, I truly believe that god lies in our heart, as well as the devil.

As a raised Catholic, just because someone is gay does not mean I hate them. I look down on the sin, not on the people.

Gays lesbians and trannies deserve the rights as others however why must they do this when a immigration reform?

I guess it must be included since this IS a reform not just fixing peoples status but rewriting and creating and entirely new system so this must be talked as well. I know lots of lesbians who would want to fix their partner status.

I think religion shouldn't be mixed with anything "scientifically" per-say but, when you use the Bible against the Bible, people get offended instead of getting the bigger picture.

Even if you want to bring the bible in here it says god hates the sinner not the sin. So being gay is no different that doing something that would create sin. The bible says to follow the rules of man and in their lands well we entered this country illegally so really we are no different than gay people. By Christians logic illegal aliens and lesbians are the same thing. We both are doing something immoral. The moral thing to do would be go back to our countries and apply there but we won't we rather sit and wait fornw reform. So as much I don't want LGBT to be into this it has too. It effects them too and if don't fix that issue it will be brought back later anyways and another reform will be hard to bring up again. Our situation with gay people is really not that different
