Ohio drivers license

So I passed the written test and after that the officer saw there's "C33" on my work permit. He said he is not sure if I would get a license under that number. I thought I would get the DL once I got my EAD and SS. My question is does anyone live Ohio know what to do or has anyone gotten their DL in Ohio?

I don't see why it wouldn't.

Ohio only lists a vague thing called USCIS documents, where things like green cards and work permits are included. It does not list any exclusions on EADs.

I asked them why they would not accept C33 and they told me Recently the Ohio politics people are debating if they should give state ID/ DL to people who has C33 on their work permit. So I guess they stop giving DL to people like me until their so called debate is over. I am sort of pissed right now as I was really excited to get my drivers permit and then reject it. They also said that in about 2 weeks or so their going to decide when the debate is over. Maybe Dreamernb87 got they DL before the debate thing.

Have you tried other offices?

Went to another office to get a State ID but it's the same thing.

I actually found an article that states Ohio is no longer granting DL to people like me.
