how long did you wait after applying for SS# to get printout?

I was curious as to how many days (for those who couldn't wait) did you wait to get a printout at your local ss office after applying? (if there is a thread with this question I apologize in advance lol)

Call the SSA hotline. They can tell you if you have been assigned a number. I got my printout 6 days after I applied, but I don't know since when my number was issued.

I got my card last Friday.... Soon after opening it i went to ssa to apply for a ssn and today i went in. For printout i couldn't get one but the gentleman of nice in writing it down for me. Then after that i went in to get my id. Successful day .

I got mine after 3 weeks and 7 days. So, 4 weeks overall technically speaking. I had originally been notified that I will be sent my card as soon as 2 weeks *within* time frame, then after calling them they had explained to me that the print out process was paused due to an investigation after discovering a mismatch on the number, given since my name is very common, after re-verifying my birth-date (in-person), they said I should receive it in the next few days. I went in Monday, and I received it by Friday of that week.

Okay, I just want to get the number since that is all I need to get my ID/Dl. I just applied for a ss# today bright & early so I was wondering if it was possible to head over again next day to get my #

I got my number in the mail within a week.

When I applied on a Monday, they said I could get a printout the very next day. That I would have a number by then. On Saturday of that same week I got my card in the mail. Pretty fast.
