What's up peeps. I got my DACA a while ago. I have had my ITIN for a year. Upon receiving my SSN, I sent out letters to all credit agencies and the IRS. I know that we're supposed to get some credit score back and a letter from the IRS saying that they updated.

Well, I got my letter from the IRS today, and all it says is that they have assigned me a ITIN based on the information I have provided. It doesn't mention anything about my SSN.

Also, I got my letters from the agencies too. Nowhere do they mention about my ITIN. The one from experian says that SSN valid for work only isn't updated.

Anyone else have this problem? I got a job, and I had to give out my social security for them to run a background check on me. I am afraid that it might come back negative, or worse yet, might say something about me not being in the system.

I got a job + background check a week ago and I think everything was clear for me since they hired me.

I don't know what you mean by "negative" anyway. There's absolutely no way that anything can be on record for you since you're "fresh"

There was a thread awhile back about this, try using the search feature.. some people had been successful at transferring their credit score over, but I can't remember details. Good luck!

Use your SSN and see if your old accounts are linked to it. My old CCs I got through my ITIN appear on my new SSN.

I sent a letter to the IrS but never heard back untill i did my taxes. Letter said your new name on new social does not match ur old name on our records. So they asked for a copy of the social security card. I sent the copy with a form they asked me to fill and sign and they updated my account. Good luck
