Just got a Discover credit card application.

any advice?? is it worth it? could i use my SSN# even though it might possibly not be available in the system since its new.

You have to look at interest rates, annual fees, cash back etc. Don't get a CC unless you have a job. It is not free money it is a loan.

CC's are the worst things to happen. It's taking me forever to pay off $700. It started off okay, but towards the end of college needed use it to purchase books on it...

They're always sending those out since we graduate from high school. I say do some research and wait a bit before you apply for a credit card.

I was denied by them and I have really good credit. I applied last year when I was still using my ITIN though. I've been approved for every other credit card I've applied for. My best friend applied for one a few months back and got denied as well. Her credit is good and she's a USC.
