Hello everyone. I need help. Can I send my apps and pay them later lol. I know i cant but ever since the Dream Act passed I have not been able to save the money for it. My wife and I both lost our jobs one year ago. She found another job but she was born in the US. I wasn't. :'( We are living check by check. Rent, food, and bare necessities. I have no friends and a family, who doesn't want to be a family anymore, that wont help me. I did go to a place where they said they would help me pay for it but I would end up paying twice the amount and had a ridiculous small amount of time to pay. 1 or 2 months MAX. Consulado Mexicano in Van Nuys, CA. Can someone help? A job. Part time. Full time. Anything. Point me in the right direction.

You mean DACA, right? You don't have any friends who can help you find a job or a place where you can network? Do you go to church?

If I were you I would FIRST gather all the evidence, all that work takes awhile... and start saving as much as you can. I'm talking about not going to the movies, eating rice and beans stuff like that, walking instead of spending money on gas. I don't think I'd take the loan your talking about it's not worth it, you've waited all this time. I'm sure you can wait a little bit longer to apply (I am in the process of gathering all the evidence).

Save on a weekly basis...if I dont use my pocket change...but sadly even that has to be spent. My wife cant get approved by anyone but not becuase of bad credit but not enough credit history. Plus a loan will end up costing 3x as much.

I have been gathering all my info for a couple months now. This site has helped me so much. (I still have questions that havent been answered but I was going to try to hold a study group and ask someone, who has been accepted and has time, to be our guide.) Iv been on my water, bread, and beans diet for a while now. Not enough.

hey try setting an online benefit website, cant remember what theyre called but all the african kids have one. You tell your story and ppl donate money via paypal from one dollar to anything they want.
Honestly though wouldnt you mind paying the interest on the loan if it meant you getting approved for DACA and being able to work. I kow during my college years there were loans that we payed up to 11% for the loan.

11% sounds like a dream. People are asking 19% to 25% now. Im saying this after 6 months of research and trying to get a loan. We didn't apply to everything. We were very selective. Nothing

Dude DACA is NOT Dream Act. Unless you're in cali in that case view this

http://icanaffordcollege.com/index.cfm?navId=387

But no, you cannot send an application and pay later, if you do that, you will be REJECTED (not denied) and you will have to send it again with the proper check. Mow some laws? look for cans? Clean people's cars?

We can't point you to the right direction because we don't know fully your circumstance

DACA sorry. I was going through my forms and found a copy of my AB540 and Dream Act stuck in my head. I was only kidding about sending my forms unpaid. lol? No one wants a random stranger at their house anymore. No one feels safe. I do collect cans. I use the money I get for necessities.

How about fundraising for it.

Ask people for their aluminum cans and go sell them. It might take you a couple of weeks. But you will reach the $465. You can recycle glass bottles and plastic bottles too. You can also have food sales or yard sales. Ask people for donations of old junk and sell it.
