One of the most contentious issues in the present immigration reform debate is :

1. There should be a clear path to citizenship -- with no pre-condition.

2. The issuance of green card can be initiated only after the border is secure enough.

Can you settle with contingency-based green card or will you reject anything less than a clear path to citizenship?

I'd like you guys to participate in this survey and I want President Obama to look at this!!!

We can't keep getting jerked around, we need a clear path to citizenship, I think I speak for all when I say I'm tired of all the political jerking around, I understand it's a process and a show, but do something about this law makers!

No we don't need a clear path to citizenship, we need them to define what clear means in the first place.

Add half the US military to the border, build a moat, fill it with crocks, give the minutemen a right to shoot anything with a pulse and the border still won't be secure enough. Illegal Immigration will still happen via the visa over-stayers.

Comprehensive immigration reform is just that - it is comprehensive

Comprehensive:

Adjective
Complete; including all or nearly all elements or aspects of something: "a comprehensive list of sources".

While a clear path to citizenship is needed, all issues need to be addressed!! Like what to do about future immigrants, how will sponsorship be handled for legal residents/citizens, how to hold visa over-stayers accountable, what sort of funding should be dedicated to border security, etc.

I feel too many folks, immigrants included, feel that comprehensive reforms means "comprehensive legalization." It is more than that.

I am happy with contingency-based GC.
