Ever dated someone outside your race?

I'm latino and when I was around 15 yrs old I went out with this girl in my neighborhood and she took me to her house to meet her mom, as soon as I walked in that placed that lady gave me some ugly looks, wouldn't even say hi, I guess she didn't like my tanned skin and the confederate flag in front of her house didn't help either I guess, LOL. The girl was the kind of white girl that doesn't like dating white boys. But anyways, I feel sorry for her mom. I will date anybody regardless of race. I like latinas but if I really like a girl who is not latina I will date her anyways, I don't discriminate.

My bf is white as they come [blond, although not blue-eyed] and he's also very liberal compared to a lot of people of his race.

My parents kinda gave me the ugly-eye, I was never ever opposed to being with a latino, I'm just the sciencey type and it's hard to find guys who are into that.

I find myself agreeing more with chicanos than with Mexicans at times, but I still see a lot of racism on our end, meaning we do it just because they are white.

I mean it's true they don't take a lot of the opportunities they are given when we would do a lot to have those opportunities, but not everyone is like that. In that same respect not all latinos are lazy and drunk all the time.

I dated all types except negras. But im as mexican as they come so i like to stay within my people.

I went out with this girl who looked like Beyonce (except with a Junior High body), unitl she moved to North Carolina, I used to call her my little Beyonce. Those days were great...............

Im dominican and Im dating a black guy.i've been with him 4 years about to be five.Best and worst years of my life.My parents punished me because they are racist and ingnorant.I got depressed from being locked down in my room for so long..My dad beat the crap out of me.Like he really ****ed me up.first time he ever hit me.Then i had to deal with my whole family lookin at me funny and talkin behind my back.oh and the noisy neighbors too.I even cried because of the racist things they used to say to my face. The owner of the grocery store who knows my dad even told me im going to push out shit instead of babies.I went home and cried.I had to keep our relationship a secret after everything becasue it's so hard.I love my bf and I dont regret my decision to be with him,even if everyone doesn't agree.

WHOAAAA....damn. That sucks. I once dated a black guy [much to the horror of my Italian/German mother...heh] and got in trouble [although not as bad as you Brenda... ] but set my parents straight on their hypocritical racism [my mom's European and my dad's half black and indigenous Peruvian...yet my dad rejects the fact that he's "black"....sigh, IGNORANCE]. Never again did I hear a word out of them.
