Can we appreciate what we finally earned?

Appreciate your EAD?
Appreciate your Learner's Permit?
Appreciate your Driver's License?
Appreciate your SSN?
Appreciate your Credit Card?
Appreciate your Bank Account?
Appreciate your In-State Tuition?
Appreciate Obama?

It was just few months ago we were ALL freaking out about introduction of DACA, but now so many in this forum are bitching about what they want and don't want.
So many Dreamers weren't even able to apply for DACA because of their situation or AGE CAP. BE EFFING THANKFUL PEOPLE!

Altering Drivers License to get rid Temp Stamp? come on are you really that stupid?
Have some pride, go out there in the world and worry about some real shit. like some real shit. Stop stressing about some nonsense! get your head straight! study your ass off! get a good job! wake the fuck up!!

Don't forget to appreciate all the Dreamer activists and allies who have sacrificed sweat, tears, and blood for the Dreamer and immigrant movement. I sometimes feel that many of us are so distant from this understanding. These immigrant successes are not centered on Obama, Durbin, and Congress.

As soon you start attending regular meetings of Dreamer organizations, you start to see all the elements, intricacies, and hours put into these Dreamer and immigrant efforts.

Let us integrate self-determination into the lives of all Dreamers to create the change they want to see and not just wait for politicians to do it.

But, I personally feel that my personal problem is never solved as long as the problem is not solved for all of our undocumented people in this country. So, I will always remain undocumented spiritually, as long as there is a need to protest, and struggle, and fight against the injustices that our undocumented people are involved in this country...

Sigh....I try to get Dreamers to understand this aspect but sometimes I don't know if the messaging gets through....but yeah a lot of action happens behind the scenes.I just hope more Dreamers do get involved over time because that will really be the only way there can be any affect on the situation at the Federal level.

Absolutely agree on appreciating the Dreamers that were/are out there that put a lot on the line to let us get here. I have nothing but utmost respect for their courage and doing something that I still don't have the guts to do. However, there are a lot of people that just complain and that aren't the ones out there organizing people and doing everything that comes with creating a movement. It is to those that complain and aren't out there that we are like, are you serious?

I am thankful for what I've gotten but I do not respect the views of some of these "dream act activists" that put down what states are giving just because their state doesnt offer the same opportunities. .I disliked a certain facebook page for that reason when one of the guys running it was negative about everything. .we are all running the same race. .dont get mad because we are ahead for whatever reason. .and sometimes the different organizations seem like they aren't even fighting for the same things and try to put the others down. .
