SSN help

So I received my permit in the mail yesterday, after about 5 months of waiting. You have to idea how happy I felt. Now I just need to apply for a social security number. The question is, what do I need for it? What do I need to bring to the office? I'm going sometime this week, and I want to make sure I have everything.

From what I've read in the SSN threads it's 'EAD + Birth Certificate = SSN'

What do you need ss for???

Well, for everything in the US basically.

You can also bring your passport with your EAD if you don't have your birth certificate.

Print out this piece of paper and show it to the service people in order to avoid confusion. DACA and SSN.

I think he asked what does he need to take to get his SSN, not what he needs his SSN for.
