Interviewing for a job that requires 30% of unrestricted domestic and international travel. I know I am gonna get asked that question by the HR. Would our situation be considered "restricted'? If i claim otherwise and do get the job, how long would it take to get an AP approved? I am sure the company will give you some advance notice, but not sure if it will be long enough for the approval. Also once approved, will it allow for multiple trips or one time use only?

the thing with advance parole is you're specifically asking for set periods in which you'll be out of country and the fact that you have to apply well in advance.

you'lL be considered restricted by HR

You have unrestricted domestic traveling, no issues there.

The International part is the only issue. Perhaps you can say to the employer that you are 100% willing to travel domestically but international you would have to know more specifics and to think about it.

Generally how long does the application process take?

If given a short notice to travel, would that be reason enough to be considered for an emergency AP?

I think even with an emergency AP, sometimes it can take up to a month to get approved. People have received AP's as short as 20 days to up to 3 months, on average...

Theres also multiple entries ap you could apply for which is valid for a year. Your employer would have to give you a.letter proving the need though.

Hello, I did not land that job, however I landed a much better job November of last year. I've been traveling domestically like crazy ever since. All is good.
