So I been working at a hospital under someone ssn But it has my name and stuff i told my employee kinda about my situation and that I had to update (i-9 form) and ssn to my legit one since I got approved so I did no issue but then I was thinking about consequences and on my old application I had marked down us citizen
And Now i was complete honest now and marked it as legal alien. We changed payroll company recently so the lady had no idea. What do u guys think so far the lady hasn't said anything.

you finally came clean, i mean... i don't think there's something to worry about there. BUT never lie again.

if something does arise, then just let them know why you did what you had to do.

yea just don't ever admit to doing it on any government form. The employer just needs to hold an I-9 form on file; they don't actually ever file that with the government unless they ask to see it. So lying on an I-9 form isn't really as big a deal as some make it.

Just hope no one gets audited

people should really this just because its not a big deal doesn't mean you should be marking it left and right
