Congratulate Me!!

Hey all, I just recently turned in my last assignment for my last high school class. I am graduating top of my class for 2007. I was attending a continuation, I came to Highland Park High School with 25 credits and grad. requires 230 credits. In less than 3 years I finished 39 classes and will be graduating, along with a scholarship for $1,000. I am also going to college for my AA degree. HOORAY FOR ME!!!!!

In the past I made alot of mistakes, and I had no hope or dream becasue I knew that even if I graduated I would not be able to attend or afford college, in this school I overcame that and I am done. No more high school!!! Just on my quest for an Associate's Degree and then transfering (hopefully!!!) to Loyola Marymount Univerity to study Law. I never saw this coming, but I worked hard and long to get here, and here I am, a minority and Illegal Alien finishing before any of the students in my school that actually have an opportunity and the eligibility to be something.

One thing I accomplished in this school was how I changed others prespectives about immigrants and the hardships we face. Now I am leaving this school with the respect that I deserve because I proved that I can accomplish just as much and more than a legal resident.

Well, I don't know what to say. I have a motorcycle and graduated from college almost 3 years ago. Got a degree and work. And pretty much live life as a regular guy. Are you proud?

I second what Nick said. Being proud of one's own self can sometimes be mistaken as cockiness and arrogance when it is taken too far.
