I am truly at a lost right now... I was born in Mexico. I was brought here as a baby and I went to grade school and college here. My delema is that when my parents registered me for school they couldn't completely understand English. my name on my school records use only part of my first name and placed the other part as my middle name. For example, my name is legally LuisAntonio and on my records they have Antonio as my first and Luis as my middle name... I am stuck because the consulate won't Renew my passport because I don't have a photo I'd and my name difference... And they said I have to get a letter from my school(who said they can't give me one) or a letter fom the municipal court in the state in Mexio where I was born... But I have no family in Mexico... So now I feel like I don't belong in either country like I have no identity... I really need help!

look for an organization that advocates for immigrants in your city/region. they might have contacts in the department of education that can better assist you in obtaining a letter from your school. sometimes they have established relationships or a referral system for daca applicants.

also, try speaking with someone in "community affairs" at the Mexican consulate in your city/region. they usually have a direct phone number on the consulate website of your city/region that you may call. tell them you qualify for daca and explain your situation. that might help. you can also ask them if they have a way to help you figure out how to process the municipal court letter from the mexican state you were born.

How did you get your current passport? Is it the passport you came in with as a kid? Do you have your birth certificate?
Are you still in school? Who did you speak with that told you that they wouldn't give you a letter?

Im 23. I live in Ga in the Atl area. The principle at the high school I graduated from tokd me she could only give me the letter using antonio because its against the law to give me one with luis antonio on it.. they gave me my passport while I was in high school but put a seal on it that won't allow me to renew it.... And I was brought here illegally... And the lady in charge at the consulate here basicaly told me that its my fault and I need to figure out how to fix it...
