They're no longer doing service requests over the phone at level one reps. I've done quite a few and they're completely useless. I've gotten a generic response each and every time.

My brother did one e-request online and it did go through, but I don't think it will make a difference. Congratulations on your approval, I am happy for everyone that is getting approved. As long a they keep approving people we still have hope.

Depends on why you're calling.

If it's because your case is still on Initial Review, a service request won't do anything. Their response will basically be to keep waiting.

It used to be a 15 day wait for a response on a Service Request but they just recently changed it to 30. Must of been because of all the DACA Service Requests being done after hitting 6 months.

I called Friday and three reps didn't even entertain the idea of a service request. Basically told me "the anticipated wait time is between 4 and 6 minths but due to variety of reasons it can be longer. There's no official timeframe for form I-821d thus we can not place a service request"..... bs generic response. ..

Hey I actually call them on Monday 3/18/13 so two days ago and the rep did a service request and today I received this emai.
Based on your request we researched the status of this case. We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 3 months of this letter, please call customer service at the number provided below.
I don't know if it's good or bad lol
