Hi All,
I was wondering for those of you who have gone to the social security office, do they accept the Mexican Consular ID?
I currently dont have a passport so i was wondering if i could just take that.
Or is it better to get my passport first?
Thanks

When you recieve your Employment Authorization Card you can use that and your birth certificate.
I handed them my matricula, the EAD and even a school ID and she told me all she needed was the EAD and birth certificate.
It looks like you just recently send out your application.
Good luck and be patient.

They prefer birth certificate even if it is not translated, your EAD card, and a mail with your address on it which could be your DACA acceptance letter.

EAD and Birth Certificate or Passport is the easiest and fastest way to apply for an SSN.
