Hi everyone, started following page since 2010. Never came around to actually signed up til now.

female, 23, taken<3

My story:
I came to the US from Colombia at age 2 with my mother to live in NEW JERSEY with my dad. My father left to the US when I was six months old. He worked hard to get my mother and myself here with VISAS. Growing up as an only child had its advantages and disadvantages like everything in life. My parent were able to provide many things that they probably wouldn't of been able to if we were still in COLOMbia.

I do now have two younger sisters BOTH BORN HERE.

Went to preschool alll the way to HIGHSCHOOl. Graduated in 2008.
I knew I was undocumented from the get-go. So i pretty much missed out on those "amazing moments" just as everyone else in my situation, like getting your license, first real job, first car..you get my point.

Thankfully my dad is very well respected man, and knows alot of people because of the line of work he does for the community. He knew a lady who helped undocumented students get into our community college. I enrolled, good student had 3.9GPA never failed or dropped any classes. MAJOR: RADIOLOGY. I didn't qualify to take those classes once I finished my prerequisites because they did background checks and I had to take a state test which was for US CITIZENS/ GREENCARD HOLDERS. In the meantime, Pretty much took as many classes that would in later time benefit me to actually be able to graduate with my bachelors instead of just my associates.

Boyfriend at the time lived in FLORIDA. I moved out there because I wanted to be wit him. He is a green card holder, but couldn't become US citizen until 2015. I worked under the table as a receptionist at hotel. Saved money, We got married in summer of 10'. Had some problems and I later moved back with my parents and went back to school.

WE TRIED LONG DISTANCE.
My hubby wanted to go to the airforce but they pretty much told him that because he was already married to me that he couldnt qualify because of security clearance. We got divorced for that simple reason but still remained together.

I moved back to FLORIDA (i know alot of moving back and forth). Hotel where I use to work went out of business. But I am happy with my boyfriend/exhubby lmfao . thats all the matter plus he told me it was okay we would figure things out he is the main provider now.

NOW: I applied late for DACA
sent:2/5/2013 to TEXAS CENTER got transferred almost immediately to NEBRASKA
received: 2/11/2013
bio: 3/13/2013
Still in inital review...

I heard that they will be taking 6 months now. But Im just happy at least I was able to qualify and send something in the meantime my man becomes a US CITIZEN.

END OF STORY. tried to keep it short but with the life we live nowadays its almost impossible.

Wow, you really did tell us your entire life!! haha, jk. So your boyfriend did end up joining the airforce? I didn't know you had to be single...

Did you have any problems gathering all the evidence since you kept moving around the country?

haha I know its long!! lol No he didn't end up going because he was scared that if he continued something could happen to me (deportation) so he just played it safe. His recruiter was the one who told him to get a divorce because he had a better chance in joining than if he was married to me because they ask for my information, his families info and even my families info. So he was not too happy about that, plus he wasn't in desperate need to join.

And I had no problem gathering information. I have been mostly my whole life in NJ. I Just recently started to move back and forth from FLORIDA to NJ and vice versa. But now that im situated in Florida. My proof has been my bank statements and transcripts. I really couldn't show I was working under the table because I never kept the timecards and plus the place I worked is an abandoned hotel now lol
