If we lived in a world where all of our basic needs were met (food and shelter) and you did not have to make money to survive and live independently, what would you do/pursue?

I'd be a travel photographer. Make up for lost times...Rick Steves and the Nat Geo guys already has that market cornered though.

Sounds exciting. Do you do you do photography on the side? And are you passionate about the field you ended up pursuing instead of photography? I love to make and design clothes..but I've been focusing on a science career for the past 8 years, even though my heart was never really set on it, but I did it because I hoped a STEM degree would help me get a student visa for Canada, or something along those lines. Almost feel like I wasted a huge chunk of my life, and I'm now starting over from the bottom (now that I have a work permit) working in design, and hopefully eventually getting a bfa. Wondering if others are having similar experiences of changing their life course and going for what they really want in life, regardless of whether or not they will be financially stable, now that their status has changed.

That's sounds awesome. That's what I would do...love photography. Wish I could travel the world and take landscape pictures.

I kinda like Art Wolfe for this reason and like to do my own amateur panoramas.Nothing beats the old film though.
