no. my mother has never been able to claim me as a dependent on her taxes because i've never had a SSN.

That's what ITIN is good for. My parents had claimed me as a dependent for over 10 years, and even got the special tax credit the first few years when I was in middle school. All they used was an ITIN and no accountant they ever went to said that there might be a problem with it.

isnt there like a certain age where they cant claim you anymore ?

waited almost 11 months "only god knows when"

The guy that my parents and i do my taxes with told me that as soon as i got my social security number to go with him because my parents would get some extra money returned, since im still living at home i am still dependent of them.
before my parents didnt add me because it wouldnt make a difference because of the ITIN, but now with the social it's different.
