Sometimes when you send too much they overlook things. The agents are just humans, I kept my evidence short sweet and straight to the point (5-7 pages, if even that) and got approved

i got an RFE at my 6 month mark to prove residency for 2007. what i sent was evidence from june 2007 till now but apparently they wanted the whole yr of 2007. which for me doesnt make sense but oh well.

i sent back my RFE on april 3rd and they updated my case on April 8th saying the received my RFE. Now just waiting for a decision. HOPEFULLY, i dont have to wait forever (fingers crossed)

it's all up to the USCIS agent looking at your file. if they feel as if you meet the requirements with the evidence you sent then thats good but if not then they'll send you an RFE. just because you think that what you sent is good evidence they agent may not see it that way. unfortunately, after we send in our evidence, all we can do is wait and hope that the USCIS agent agrees with our evidence.

think you're just gonna have to wait to see what the actual letter says (if you dont have it already) to see what they are actually asking for.

Thats okay if you just graduated high school and are in college. Some people, like me, graduated high school 11 years ago and need to show proof of what you've been doing all these years. Thats when bank statements, credit card statements, cell phone statements, department store statements, hospital records, etc.. come into play. Which makes older people have packets way bigger than people who just graduated high school and just need to send their transcript from HS

Well said Aalleexx. I'm in the same position and had a huge packet full of receipts and evidence. 5-7 pages worth of evidence would have gotten me rejected double quick.
