NY in-state tuition help

im a senior in high school and really need some advice regarding in state tuition,
i live in florida therefpre not one of the states that provides the in-state tuition
im in my senior year of high school 6 weeks away from graduation.
i filed for the deferred action march 1st where on of the requirements as you all know is to be graduating high school or have already gotten your GED
what i was planning was to wait through it to get my work permit and have already been approved to then drop-out of school,((which I'm already to failing my classes on purpose )) move to NY where you have to live 30 days before taking a GED test and then take my GED though one of the CUNY campus' over there so i fall under there in-state tuition law for undocumented students
and then apply for college.

any advice or tips or heard of any similar stories?


i believe to have also found out that i need to have lived in the state a year as well which really isnt a big deal to me either because regardless of any of the other ways i've heard which is to file independent you still have to wait a year to prove you're independent and show receipts and all that

man, that sounds like a bunch of malarkey .. you have 6 weeks to graduate and you're failing "on purpose" makes no sense at all...

you should stick it out for 6 week, and then get your diploma then move (but seeing as how you're failing "on purpose" this isn't an option is it? ) .... its a US diploma counts everywhere.

of course i need school.
the problem is i can't afford out of state tuition and florida isn't one of the states that offer in-state tuition.
However NY is but in order to fall under there in-state tuition law you would have to have attended high school in NY for a minimum of 2 years and graduated from a NY high school ORRRR have gotten your GED in NY.

thats why im saying I'm failing on purpose you cannot take a GED test if you have any sort of high school diploma.


if i move after my diploma i wouldnt fall under the law cause i didnt attend high school in NY or obtain a GED from NY.

i know i know i just wanna have ALL my choices and options open so i can then discuss it with my parents and see whats more affordable and convenient financially
