I am curious to know what you guys use an Id when you are required to show an ID. I mean do you guys the one s form Mexico actually have a Matricula Consular. If you dont it is very important that you do go and get one at the Mexican COnsule Place.

i think that you can well use it to go to the clubs, exchange a pdct and even when your stopped by the police!!!!

Yeah my husband has been able to use his matricula at clubs and other places..
When he just needs a photo ID and no birthday or address, he uses a BOA debit card that has a photo on it.. not sure if they still do that but it's AWESOME

I have school ID's, but none of them have my DOB except my high school one... and that's old. I'm getting a new passport though in order to take the GRE. Other than that... i got nothin.

oh scary story... i lived in an off-campus house in college and we got broken into while on winter break... i was the first one back to find our house like that so i had to call the police. they asked for my DL... i was freakin out. i just told them i didn't have one and they said "oh, that's why your name didn't come up in the database." and that was it... that scared me more than the burglary itself.

I had to take DAT and I needed a gov't issued ID and all I had was my passport...
I was even thinking about getting a fake ID but I don't know if it's worth spending money on such things...

When i went to visit the university i was gonna go to, i had to stay at a hotel, and i didnt know that they could only accept a california ID. i freaked out cause i didnt know what to do...it was kinda late...but then the lady was very nice and told me that it was ok...just asked me no to say anything...

but i usually use my school id (which is kinda old and u can barely see the pic), and i just got my passport so i will have to start using that as an id.

Hmm, I only have my university ID and my Passport.

I would really like to open a bank account. I just need to know if those two forms of identification are acceptable.

I heard a while back that Bank of America offered bank accounts to people in our situation. Is this still the case?

I know Citibank only wants to see a current passport and a school ID. You could also use a translated version of your birth certificate as well.
