The Dream act has absolutely nothing to do with Puerto Ricans & their problems. They are US citizens at birth but their votes don't count until they come to the mainland not to mention they have no representation in the Congress[from what I understand],I feel sorry that they don't know where they stand as a US territory but that isn't the fault of people applicable for Dream act.

Exactly. Puerto Ricans are citizens; DREAM would help kids that were brought up here but don't have any legal status here.

I don't see what one topic has to do with the other, honestly...

I think it does. I think dreamers should be awarded citizenship and be exempt from taxes. Congressional representation is not very high on my list of priorities.

lol

he got this question because there was an article that stated so. The person rambles on about how the DREAM act discriminates against puerto ricans. As an individual that lives around many puerto ricans, i can say they most certainly dont feel this way, but i cant speak for all of them. This article in my eyes was just a maneuver to try and drive a wedge between us.

Honestly if lilbawler is given legal status and is not given the right to vote lilbawler could care less.
