Hello Everyone,
Hope this post finds everyone having a wonderful week. Ok, I am driving across country to TN to start my job on Monday. I am still in the process of finalizing the details, but I need to sign and fill out the Employment Verification, SS#, etc. form, before I can get out of the Employment Conditional Status step.

Here is the deal, I listened to my teachers and put down my non-wages work experience on my resume. Obviously, I didn't say I did not get paid, because there was no way I could get pay without status. I received wages from only one of the jobs on the resume, but it was paid in cash even thought they requested my SS# and it was under my formal name.

I really want this job,and the directors that interviewed me seem to want to have me on board; however, I never mentioned my DACA status to them, except to inform the HR manager that I hold a renewable work -permit.

Since I did not received wages for the other two jobs, would this be a red flag to them, and not hire me when they perform this background check? I am so scared, and I don't know what to do. I am away from home, and need to fill out this form and send it to them immediately.

Since my SS# was issued early March, would it be in the system? I know the company uses E-Verify.

Any suggestions/feedback on what to do will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a million,
Latte11

Most likely not. Mine was issued around October/November, and I had a background check done in March. The report said that my number wasn't found.

I emailed the company that does the background check, and the rep told me that the most likely reason is because I don't have any credit accounts. So I just sent a quick email to my recruiter telling her that I would be more than happy to show her my SS and work authorization should it ever become an issue.

I never told her about DACA. I don't think you need to. Just telling your HR rep or employer that your work permit is renewable is enough.
