I think it can be but as long as Obama is in office, it should be fine. Next president might not want this, so you never know..

CIR= Comprehensive Immigration Reform

I believe the chances of a president getting rid of DACA (even if CIR doesn't pass) are slim.

If a Democrat president becomes elected next term it will definitely won't get canceled, if a Republican president becomes elected the chances are still slim.

Why? The GOP recognize that they're losing support from Latinos and if they're smart they won't get rid of it unless they want to lose the few Latinos that still support them.

It would take a really, really extreme-far-right-winger to get rid of it and even then he/she will think twice about getting rid of it.

For now though, we still have another 4 years left with our DACA.

It's possible, so yes, there is a chance.

Yes if Republican becomes President, for sure it will be taken down. However, this scenario is very unlikely because I certainly think this country will pick a Democratic President for the next few election cycles and also because there is a very good chance CIR will pass. But if you're trying to ask if DACA can be taken down, the answer is absolutely yes because its just an administrative prosecutorial decision taken by the President. There is no law to back this thing up.

I agree with MountainMan. Look at the tps, the Salvadoreans have. They are always threatening to take it but at the end of the day it gets renewed.

Honestly I waited to apply until after the election. I do not trust a Republican president with continue DACA. Now, as far as what will happen when Obama is gone....who knows....I wish I could predict the future. Now that they have us all out of the shadows if it isn't renewed we'll be easy pickings.

^^^^^This. It'd look terrible to do something like that to us, we've called this country our home for years/decades, taking DACA away and forcing people back into the shadows would look terrible and heartless and it will alienate many immigrant voters as well as Hispanic voters, no one would want that on their record. History has shown that a candidate that extreme would NEVER appeal to enough American voters in the general election.
