I was approved about 2 months ago and I was wondering has anyone applied for a traveling permit to leave the country to visit family members(mother, siblings)?
Is that even possible? anyone tried it?

filing for AP is possible however the reason for AP needs to be more serious then just wanting to a "casual" visit with family. a death, education, humanitarian reasons are usually the reasons USCIS grants AP. paperwork stating this information will need to be provided along with the application. a note from the doctor stating that a family member has passed or is very very close to passing away, a letter from a school stating that you have been accepted to study overseas, a letter from a humanitarian organization stating your involvement with the organization and your role in the project over seas.

now, apply for and being granted AP are possible, however, since DACA application still DO NOT have legal status, only legal presence, in the US, it is VERY possible that upon re-enter in the US, one can be denied, thus abandoning their legal presence in the US.

like i stated before, AP is possible but just for "casual" trips. there have been people who have applied and been granted AP but for more serious reason, such as a death or serious illness. if you still have doubts, then you should consulate a lawyer (usually consulations are free) about AP.

this is the link from the USCIS website about AP.
